Membership of the SGT offers many benefits. Each year we organise visits both within and outside Somerset and a programme of lectures and other events for members (see Events page here).

Members also receive regular newsletters (see News page here) with interesting articles on all aspects of gardening, as well as updates on the work being carried out by the SGT Council and its 3 committees (Events & Publicity; Research & Conservation; Education)

Members may wish to get involved in organising events or surveying historic gardens and the subsequent documentary research. There are also opportunities for training – both at conferences and with other County Gardens Trusts.
